Traveling to Sagada won’t be complete without visiting the famous Hanging Coffins. It’s suppose to be creepy but the fact that it has become a major tourist attraction, you will be amaze by just watching them few meters away.

Hanging Coffins of Sagada

Our first stop for this morning is to visit the Hanging Coffins. We woke up early that day around 5AM to have enough time to prepare but I honestly felt like I don’t wanna take a bath. There was no hot shower available. And so I didn’t take a bath. You won’t smell me anyway. πŸ˜›

Early morning temperature in Sagada. Do you still wanna take a bath?

The view outside the house we were staying. I would love to wake up to this everyday.

I brought a towel with me because after this, we’re going to Bomod-ok Falls.Β Did you seriously think that I’m not the going to take a bath today? Ever? πŸ˜›

As we all know, this is traditional way of burying bodies.

Group picture because we survived the descent. Actually there’s a rock climbing facility at the back if you’re interested.

Finally!
In case you’re in doubt, there are real bodies or skeletons inside those coffins okay. This way of burying the bodies is still being practice by members of Igorot tribe until today. In fact the latest addition(I think) is the one under “Bomit-og” coffin. For more info, please visit here.
After having our souvenir picture, we stopped by at the so-called “echo-valley” to take some rest and do some photo ops. The view was amazing.

Looking forward to Bomod-ok Falls to take a bath. πŸ˜›
That’s pretty much our short visit to the hanging coffins. I think that you should come see it for yourself because it’s something that you don’t encounter everyday. And that I always refer as “experience”.

  1. Try taking a shower where it's 4 degrees like where I am, haha. I have to do it everyday!
