Ocean Park Hong Kong
The future is bright.
The Search for Pandas in Ocean Park Hong Kong is on!

One of my life goals is to see a real panda. I mean who wouldn’t wanna see a Panda? Those fury black and white creatures that are effortlessly cute. Come on guys! And Ocean Park Hong Kong is the closest possibility to reach that goal. Actually, there’s an Ocean Park(Manila) in the Philippines but they don’t have a panda and I despise traffic. Ocean Park Hong Kong is also not that crowded and overrated compared to Hong Kong Disneyland. That’s why I made it our first stop on this trip! πŸ™‚

Entrance. Sorry for my existence on this picture. I am just amazed of the current view. πŸ˜›

We arrive in Hong Kong around lunch time and bought our themed park admission tickets in advance to get discounts and save a few bucks. Read more here to know how to avail great discounts on Hong Kong’s famous attractions.

What’s inside?

Ocean Park Hong Kong is HUGE that It’s REALLY impossible to explore it in half day. It’s huge that you have to literally cross a mountain to reach the other side through a cable car or through their very own Ocean express train. The park is divided into 2 main attraction areas, The Waterfront (which houses the huge aquarium, animal exhibits including Pandas and other fun stuff) and The Summit (which houses the extreme adventure rides which is on the other side of the mountain). For more information, please visit their official website: http://www.oceanpark.com.hk/en

When the set up finally sinked in, we were like OH MY GOD. We know there are roller coasters here but we couldn’t find them in our “current” place in the theme park. After some time of exploring, we found the cable car and lined up. Yes, it was a looooong line (as expected)but the view above was pretty amazing.

This is what happened!

Verdict

That’s pretty much our fun experience in Ocean Park Hong Kong. It’s not really satisfying because we only spent an afternoon there and obviously it wasn’t enough. Make sure to allocate one whole day in Ocean Park Hong Kong so you’ll be able to enjoy everything it offers. Moreover, go there early as much as you can to avoid long queues to the attractions. Large crowd can be pretty annoying. Also, always carry water with you to avoid dehydration during long walks in the park. Wear light clothing especially on sunny days so you are comfortable moving around. Don’t forget to bring your camera and extra batteries so no special moments will be missed! Lastly, this theme park is for all ages and definitely worth your money and time. And I highly recommend it!!! πŸ™‚
