Ever since I become aware that traveling was my passion, I listed(in my mind) those places I read in the books back in school as my first targets. And Luneta Park was one of them.

Actually the primary reason we came to Manila was to attend Taylor Swift’s Red Tour Concert. Yes, me and my college friends, we are certified Swifties. So the next day after the concert, we dropped by at the famous Rizal Park or was previously known as Luneta Park.
Finally, that feeling again. How I wish there’s a word to describe it. My first impression was “Wow!” and “It’s actually smaller(the monument) than I thought!”. When we arrived, there were couple of men doing some stuff on the monument. I think, for the preparation of the coming National Independence Day. The rest of the park was huge. Like really huge. We saw some lagoons and gardens while strolling. The surrounding was clean, I’m impressed. It was a nice-not-crowded-sunny day at the park πŸ™‚

I can now officially take this off of my travel list. And (personally) as a Filipino, I think it is important to have an actual experience of the place that’s bringing the identity of the Philippines.
