It was summer of 2014 when me and my colleagues decided to escape the sickening four walls of the office and take a break from our stressful work. We chose to visit Malapascua Island this time because we heard lots of good things about it and got us curious πŸ™‚

Sunset at Malapascua Island

We depart from the city early in the morning around 5AM bound to Daanbantayan. From there we rode a small boat going to Malaspascua Island. The weather was sooo hot it bites. I mean yes it’s summer, that’s normal but the temperature that time was as hot as hell (have I been to hell? I think so. hahaha). Upon arrival we checked-in in a cheap resort near the beach. Island hopping took place in the afternoon and it was so fun! It’s my first time to see a ship wreck under the sea.

We were able to catch the sunset while we’re still in the middle of the sea.
I didn’t have much pictures of the happenings on that night.
But they say that the best moments in life are usually enjoyed not captured.

Before we went home, we had lunch at this resto that accepts credit card. We run out of cash. Their food is pretty good. No regrets.

What I love about Malapascua Island?
  • The BEACH
  • The Starry Skies. Almost all the constellations I know are visible! They’re so beautiful.
  • The Phone Signal. I got LTE/4G network from Globe.
  • The Resto that accepts credit card. This is a big deal to me because we ran out of cash and we were really hungry.
What I despise in this experience?

The water supply in the resort that we’re staying is sea water. Like asdfghjkl

So that’s pretty much our overnight adventure in the small yet beautiful island of Malapascua. You should visit the island anytime as long as the weather permits because I swear to God, it’s worth it πŸ™‚

  2. My sister went there last October before she left for Sweden and told me the island is really a paradise. I wish to go there soon but my son is still very young. It might be a bad idea to bring him in a small island. I'll just wait till it's the right time. Sa tamang panahon :p
